A Trip into the Dales

Last week we drove into the dales and walked about 4 miles to Aysgarth Falls. It was a lovely sunny day and we enjoyed wonderful views across the valleys.

This first picture is the steepest part of the earliest stages of the walk. There was lots of livestock around so Zuri was kept on her lead.

First sighting of Aysgarth village. We had to look out for the George and Dragon pub and then the methodist church.

Several stiles later and a walk along a woodland path finally brought us to the river. We were a lot further down from the falls than anticipated - maybe next time!

This is a folly in the surrounding fields.
